Who is behind Americode?
Hi I am Anastacia and it is so nice to meet you
I have been a certified Professional Coder since 2010
In my career, I have been a college instructor(allied health), a coder, an auditor, and a compliance officer! I am also a certified Professional Coding Instructor, an approved instructor with AAPC
What is AAPC?
The American Academy of Professional Coders is a credentialing board and network of professional coders.
It was once described as a country club for coders. I like that it is a club for professional coders to get an education, network, and find support and inspiration!
There are benefits to joining the AAPC- discounts on travel, amusement park tickets, insurance, and more. Education, CEUs(continuing education units), board exams, networking with other coders around the country!
Note taker
I have always loved taking notes, and so I have a large continually growing library of notes for medical coding, medical billing, anatomy, term, and pathophysiology.
Making my notes available is a decision that has not been taken lightly, I have worked hard over the years, so I can’t just give them away, but I also want to keep them affordable.
My notes will be the most helpful if you read the notes, then re-write the most pertinent notes to you, may be all of the notes, putting the notes in your own words will also help!
Instruction
As an approved instructor, I will be able to provide instruction from a curriculum developed by AAPC!
Full courses will be available. These will be 12 week courses
Review courses or refresher courses are developed with experienced coders in mind!

For 16 years I have found that blogging is something that I thoroughly enjoy! I have a lifestyle blog, a crafting/planning blog and a coding blog.
Blogging about coding topics like sequencing, new codes, guidelines, anatomy and term topics, disease process, billing, modifiers and more!
